Euro-Asian Astronomical Society The International Astronomy Olympiad . . . . . The 3rd Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad November-December 2007.

The 3^rd Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad to be held in November or the first decade of December 2007 (after the 12^th IAO in Crimea).

The main points for the teams formation will be analogous to ones of the 1^st and 2^nd APAOs and rules 4.5.1-4. of the IAO Statutes. Changes (if any) will be announced not later than 3 months after closing date of the 2^nd APAO.

We hope teams from participating in the 2^nd APAO countries (China, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Korea, Thailand, Asian part of Russia), from traditional participating in IAO countries (India, Iran...) to take part in the 3^rd APAO. May be Central Asian countries of CIS, Australia, Japan, Singapore and other countries will arrive as well. Observers are welcome to the Olympiad as well.

The second announcement about the 3^rd APAO to be presented later. Nevertheless National Astronomy Olympic Committees may start to form the teams not only to the 12^th IAO but also to the 3^nd APAO.
