The main points for formation of the teams

The points are analogous to ones for the 4^th, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiads.
Details are published in the 2^nd announcement.

National Astronomy Olympic Committees and interested organizations are welcome to ask more about the 8^th APAO and in 2012 may form the teams for the 17^th IAO as well as for the 8^th APAO.

Dates

The Olympiad will be held in the late November or beginning of December 2012.
