The following documents should be sent as pre-application:
- Pre-application form
(Excel file with explanations how to fill; please, save the table in format not later Excel-2010.)
You may fill this form or send the analogous information to organizers in arbitrary form.
- Data about National Astronomy Olympiad:
Short report or info in the pre-application form
(obligatory for regulary participating countries, optional for new countries).
The following documents should be prepared and sent for application:
- Application form
(Excel file with explanations how to fill; please, save the table in format not later Excel-2010).
- Personal data
(Excel file with explanations how to fill; please, save the table in format not later Excel-2010).
and for every contestant and team leader:
- colored scan of passport or national ID (that must obligatory include
name(s), surname, date of birth, sex, photo, signature
and confirmation of nationality).
The resolution of the scanning should be at least 150dpi for documents of passport size and larger,
300dpi for smaller sized documents.
The image should be in format *.jpg only, and not *.pdf, not *.bmp, not *.tif, etc.
More detailed about the documents and their scans.
The Passport or ID document must mandatory include 7 positions:
name(s),
surname,
date of birth,
sex,
photo,
signature
and confirmation of nationality corresponding to the country of the team.
If the citizenship (and so passport) of the participant does not correspond to the team,
it is necessary to provide an additional document, such as a residence permit or affiliation
to work (study).
If a student does not have a passport or a national ID that meets all the requirements,
two or several documents may be submitted, a combination of which includes the mentioned
7 positions, while each document must be official and contain the name(s) and surname.
Pay attention for the quality of the Passport or ID images and personal photos.
-- Just coloured scan of the passport is necessary, or very good image made
using photocamera.
-- Scans of 150 dpi (that required for documents of passport size and larger) means that
the image of two pages of passport (176x125 mm) should have approximately 1040x740 pixels.
A smaller number of image pixels does not meet the requirements.
-- Scans of 300 dpi (that required for documents sized less than a passport) means that,
for example, the image of credit card size document (85,6x54 mm) should have approximately
1010x640 pixels.
A smaller number of image pixels does not meet the requirements.
-- The images should not have an empty space around the document itself and should be
properly oriented (not tilted or lying sideways).
- colored photo of the face.
It is assumed that the photos will approximately meet the standard of ICAO with the size of the face itself at least 360x240 pixels.
The image should be in format *.jpg only, and not *.pdf, not *.bmp, not *.tif, etc.
More detailed about the photos.
The photos must more or less comply with the ICAO requirements (with the exception
of the items "too far away" and "portrait style" in the instructions published above).
To avoid the most common mistakes, pay attention to:
-- The size of the face itself must be at least 360x240 pixels (for example,
this means that for a photo, in which the face occupies 40% of the image in height,
the total height of the photo must be at least 900 pixels).
-- The face is in focus and not blurred.
-- A plain light-coloured background.
-
