Important  dates

• Deadlines:

  • Pre-application. Short report.
    
    
    • The deadlines for receiving by LOC Pre-Application documents:
      
      
      • Pre-application: November 9, 2024.
      • Late pre-application: November 2024, before application.
      
      
      Presenting the short report (see Supplementary Instructions N 10) is optional. Nevertheless, some infromation about the system of the National Olympiads (especially for the last two years) would be helpful for the IAO Committee and desirable for inclusion into the pre-application file.

    • The deadlines for receiving by LOC all application documents, personal data, scans of passports (or National ID) and photos of proposed contestants and team leaders (maybe with some extra persons for reserve):
      
      
      • Application: November 16, 2024.
      • Late application: November 24, 2024.

• Tentative schedule of the Olympiad

  • Sunday, December 8 - Day of arrival to host towns at the participating countries

    All work at the rounds of all participants of any team will take place in the same auditorium in the host town of the participating country.

  • Monday, December 9 - Day of online opening ceremony
  • Tuesday, December 10 - Day of the theoretical round

    Round begins at 09:00 UT (for Eastern hemisphere) and 13:00 UT (for Western hemisphere).

  • Wednesday, December 11 - Day of the round with maps and images

    Round begins at 13:00 UT (for all teams).

  • Thurday, December 12 - Day of the practical round, possible online participants departure

    Round begins at 09:00 UT (for Eastern hemisphere) and 13:00 UT (for Western hemisphere).

    Rounds are finished for online participants. After the round these students may depart to their homes.

  • Friday-Saturday, December 13-14 - Days of possible observational round

    Option only for on-site participants.

  • Friday-Saturday, December 13-14 - Days of jury job
  • Sunday-Monday, December 15-16 - Days of finalization results
  • Tuesday, December 17 - Day of online closing ceremony
